Tried searching here and quite a few other places for the past day trying to find info on using TAC to reload pulled M856 like
the ones available at Wideners. No luck as of yet on finding info on reloading pulled M856 using TAC powder. Plenty of info using other powders but nothing found yet on using TAC. Has anyone used TAC to successfully ignite the tracers in their M856 reloads ? Edited to clarify the question |

Does anyone have any recommendations to find some info on this combo ? Since it's length is longer than a 70gr TSX bullet, I would reduce its charge by ~0.5gr and work up. IOW, start at 22.5-22.7gr of H-335 and work up. Assuming a proper primer (IE Rem. 7.5, Fed 205GM, CCI-450/BR-4/#41) |

Thank you sir, that should help in working up a charge if any are ordered. I knew it was longer but wasn't sure how much.
I should have been more specific in my question, the original post will be edited to reflect. Has anyone used TAC to successfully ignite the tracers in their M856 reloads ? |

Thank you sir, title edited to clarify the question.
Has anyone used TAC to successfully ignite the tracers in their M856 reloads ? I'm trying to keep my powders to a minimum and am hoping someone has already tested whether or not TAC burns hot enough to ignite the M856 Tracers. Sure I could just buy some W844T but want to reserve that for the last option since I have no data to for WC844T and the other types of projectiles I will be using. |
| I loaded some 856 tracers that I got from Hi-Tech with near max charge of 25gr TAC and cci 400 primers and have been getting 100% to light up. I'm going to back off charge some and see if they will still light. Same cant be said for Blc-2 maybe 1 in 3 light. My guess is that standard 844 will work without having to buy the "T" version. Read somewhere on internet that 844T burns HOT and my be hard on barrels |

Thank you very much for the reply, I knew someone had to of tried TAC with M856 tracers by now.
I'd prefer to just keep TAC as the only powder in house here, as it keeps things simple and I've been having very good results with TAC behind SS109 projectiles and some 64gr fusion pull downs . |
