most vests and rig seem to have the mag puches on the front, i may be over thinking it but it seems like it would be very awkward to reach pouches while laying down or even hunched over.
Are they as uncomfortable or awkward as im thinking they are? |

I'd keep it 2 or less right on my belly button though.. CXS |

Keep your stuff spread around enough you don't do the fatman impression at the front (have fun trying to drive a Humvee like that).
I used to run mags center and left, GP pouch right, and another one upper left (I was a military cop, had a lot of little crap to keep track of). Reloading from the prone, slightly roll to one side, snag a mag and do your thing. |

Lots of things should be consider when dressing out a rig. Your draw stroke for your pistol depending on the method of carry. If you have enter and exit a vehicle and the limited access of certain pouches. Of course how you will be able to operate on the deck. access to pouches, reloads, the ability to actually get down or up. Unfortunately so many people set up their rigs always assuming they will be vertical in a comfortable position.
