| I love 27 grains of varget with 55g in my .223. However as everyone knows varget won't work well in my new progressive powder meter. Can I get some good ball type powder load suggestions as a replacement plz? |

AA2520. It is almost the same as varget on the burn rate charts, but I think it is just a touch faster. I have switched to it in my garands and if time and weather ever allow, I'm going to run a bunch of tests loads I have through my garand and see what numbers they produce. I attempted to work up loads with the 2520 last year and found that the 2520 produced slightly better accuracy then 4064 (the most accurate powder in my garands) and metered like water compared to 4064. Of course, I didn't chrono those loads.
If you like the slower burn rate of varget, the 2520 should work well. 2520 is a ball powder. |

This is the powder I use to launch my 75 gr bullets...I do chrono the loads and this powder gets me some speed out of the 75 Horn OTMs. Accurate to boot... Meters well... Getting the same accuracy and velocities (as Varget) with out locking up the powder bar... |

What type/brand of bullet are you using? |
