I`m contimplating buying one and was wondering; what spare parts such as firing pin, extractor, recoil spring, etc., would be needed for breakage-maintenance for long term.

Also for those that own one, how do you like???

You talking semi-auto or NFA?  I have one F/A and as far as I can tell the main spare parts to have are top cover, barrel(s), and recoil springs. Not sure if they can still be had, but a couple of years ago you could buy an Uzi parts kit that has everything but the receiver for around $150.

I love my Uzi - definitely a great little machine gun!

I wish I could afford the NFA route real deal but semi it is.
I realize , from owning an Uzi years ago , that in semi form it is a heavy plinker; that being said, I still want one. Either a full size, a mini, or both.

In that case, there may be some wear parts I haven't considered since the semi versions fire from a closed bolt. Suggest you check over at the Uzi Talk Forums.   Good bunch of guys over there and they'll know better than anybody what kind of stuff wears out.

I just got an Vector Uzi. Fun range plinker. I would think the extractor and  return springs. Honestly wait till you get yours. Break it down and clean very well before fireing. You will see how it works. I even took my extractor out of the bolt block. Esay and nothing to mess up. It will give you a better understanding of the little carbine. I really like mine. Get a sling by all means. LOL. It's heavy. But it'd fun and 9mm don't cost much RIGHT NOW ANYHOW. WarDawg
