I really didn't know where to post this but I figured I would get some hits here. I'm going to make a large patch panel out of some marpat material I have sitting around. Anyways, I need some wide strips of loop Velcro that I can sew onto the backing. Where can I find loop Velcro that will match the marpat, probably green colored.

Thanks

I would check over at MilSpecMonkey, I believe I saw some options there last year.

Don't get the stuff that has adhesive on the back unless you will hand sew it.  The needle gums up as it is sewn with machine.

I live near an airbase/air reserve station. Our Walmart sold ABU Velcro brand kits for uniforms. They came with hook & loop sides for all the patches and name tapes that would go on a typical jacket and also a bobbin of color matched thread. I bought a few when the were in close out for $5 for various projects. If you're near any sort of military base Walmart might have something. I'm not sure if they have other colors/styles as we only have the Air Force stuff here.

How much do you need?  I might be able to get some out of the throw away bin at work.  No charge, of course.

No military base near by. Local walmart has small pieces of Velcro but nothing that I could use.
