| Does anyone know if the H&K Operational briefcase uses the MP5K-PDW with the 3 lug barrel? Is it designed for the MP5K/SP89 only with the short barrel that ends at the sight hood? Thanks for looking. |

The three lug barreled MP5Ks or MP5K PDWs will not fit in the HK briefcases unless modifications are performed to the briefcase. The breifcases were designed for the shorter barrel of the MP5Ks that end at the weapon's muzzle. If you have a three lug barreled MP5K and you want it to fit the briefcase you must remove material from the briefcase's "collar" that the weapon's barrel fits inside of. In addition to the mod for the 3 lug barrel I think that there is a mod to the trigger activation hardware for the pictogram grip frame. The selectors on these grip frames stick out enough to interfere with the mechanism. It's an easy modification to perform, but the question is, do you want to cut on a $1,500 collector's item? |
