I've got a fairly good supply of 7.62x54R pulled steel core ball projectiles on hand.  I want to reuse these in .30-06 for obvious reasons.  Would these have to be resized or could I use them like they are?  I think they are .311-.312 whereas the .30 cal is .308.  Any suggestions or help is appreciated.

Found this Thread about resizing with a Lee cast bullet sizing die.

I would not suggest using them as is.

They should be able to be sized down using the right dies assuming there is at least some lead around the steel core. Be aware you will elongate the bullet, increasing its bearing surface which in turn could affect pressure. I would certainly start at the bottom charge list and work up very slowly.

You may also find the need for a intermittent die between .312 and.308 in order to get them to size, taking that much in one step will be hard on all the equipment including your arms.
