My WW2 sniper collection has been coming along. I would really like to pick up a Type 97, but I don't think that will be possible for a little while, so I actually hope none come up for sale.

These girls are either fully matching, or completely correct. I would have to say that the PU is even a very light refurb.

I had a 03A4 and an Enfield sniper, but traded them for Lugers. Wished I had kept them though. Nice collection.

It's a zf41 sniper rifie. I'm not shure what the official designation was. The scope is a zf41. Interesting peice of history for sure. Could be called the first scout rifle( as Jeff Cooper would have called it). I've always wanted one, they sure are beautiful.

I've had the z41 type rifle sans scope in my hands before but bubba had been there and done his worst.  That small of an eye on the scope couldn't have been that great.  It's authentic though.

Indeed it is a sweet collection!

The Zf41 is only 1.5x.  It wasn't designed for use as a sniper scope.  Instead, it was designed for use by what would be termed in the modern US military as a "squad designated marksman".  That is, to allow a one or more members of a rifle squad to shoot their rifles with slightly greater precision at slightly longer range than the other soldiers with standard rifles.

Some actual German snipers did use the Zf41, due to a shortage of true sniper rifles fitted with actual 4x to 6x sniper scopes.  But most Wehrmacht soldiers armed with Zf41s were not snipers, and had not received sniper training.

Nice collection, very similar to my sniper collection.  I would like to find a K31/41 to go with my ZFK55.  I ran across a Jap sniper last year but the price was just crazy for a fubared rifle, I may have been able to salvage the scope and mount.  The rest was junk.

I have a M1D and looking for a M1C, a pair of No4T's, Mosin' PU's, and a 03a4.  The ZFK out shoots all of them.
