Saw that earlier. Looks very innovative for hunting/bolt action rifles. Also looks primo expensive. I wouldn't mind having one in 6.5 CR. 24 inches in a small package with an excellent trigger apparently. No easy feat getting an excellent trigger in a bullpup design (one of the main drawbacks of bullpups, triggers). Beautiful wood rifle. I imagine many will have their own version within a couple years. Just makes sense for having a short maneuverable rifle, while still retaining a long barrel for bullet velocity and range. |

I'm intrigued but the prices I've seen for the wood models start at around $5200 USD. But damn if it isn't pretty. Barrel is not designed to be removed by the end user btw. |

They said hopefully end of this year, early next year for US market. Hopefully they aren't too crazy priced. But sounds like the initial versions will have a Walther specific suppressor included, with 5/8-24 coming later on. Forcing the US market to buy it with a suppressor is a dumb move, but Walther tends to not be in touch with its US customer base so its not surprising. I probably wait for a polymer version in 6.5 with standard threads. |
