| I kinda want a dump pouch. Not sure why. Nobody wears them where I train because empty mags are for gays and don’t get into the habit of picking up empty mags and all of that. I’d be convenient for policing empties from the line to the bench though. Thoughts on dump pouches in general? I’d buy Esstac. |

I have 2 of the small Maxpedition pouches and a 32oz Nalgene fits perfectly, a canteen does not though. |

| I like having a dump pouch. If I don't want to put anything in it, I don't have to. If I need somewhere to put stuff and don't have one, I'm out of luck. |

I’m a 31” waist and I’m about maxed out running 1 pistol/2 rifle mags. I’m trying to not use double stacked if I can avoid it. AXL belt with the following: Multi tool in pouch Spiritus jsta with UG inserts BFG single rifle Med kit Dump pouch Holster This lets me keep my front pretty clear so I can actually get down behind a rifle fairly comfortably. If you want to save some room on your belt, I've come to really like the kinetic Consulting pouch. https://www.kinetic-consulting.net/product-page/the-dump-pouch-cordura-version There are 3 different versions, material, weight, size variations. The link above has a video in the picture section so you can see how it mounts. It basically attaches below your mag carrier pistol or rifle. I've been using a couple for a few years now and they have been solid. Here are the other 2 versions: https://www.kinetic-consulting.net/product-page/the-mini-dump-pouch https://www.kinetic-consulting.net/product-page/the-dump-pouch |

I don't like pouches at my 6 O'clock belt position. Having it slick back there is just easier on my back getting in and out of vehicles. Moving a dump pouch to my side helped free up some room on the back. |

I wear mine at 7:00 and recommend a roll-up for a number of reasons, but mainly so your friends don't fill it with rocks while you're shooting.

I added a dump pouch. Other than that its all about reseaching what brands/makes you want. The list is huge. Theres a crap tonn of belts of different widths and designs. For example: Mag pouch wise the big three seems to be kiwi, taco and G-code. I chose g-code because they're more flexable. I can go shooting with whatever rifle/pistol mags I want and not have to change out pouches or have a caliber specific belt setup. G-code will hold 308, 762x39, 556 or sub gun stick mags in one rifle pouch. Their pistol pouches will hold double or single stack. OTOH the other two (kiwi and taco) are more magazine specific. |

I’m still researching just the belts, haven’t even started on looking at pouches yet! Stupid question, but looking at 2 piece belts with separate inner and outer, do you have to wear the inner? For example Esstac enhanced shooter. I’m looking for something that can be easily thrown on, not having to waste time threading an inner belt through my belt loops for maximum retention. On range trips it would be fine |

| Inner belt and outer belts work in conjunction with each other. The other option is to take the outer belt and mate it to a Velcro pad from HSGI or Wilder Tactical, etc.. makes a 1.75” shooter or cobra type belt into a sure grip. They work great for throwing on over sweatpants or winter layers. |

But I’d def get something that’s compatible with a pad. |

Yeah, I’d guess that wasn’t very clear. I’ve got an esstac belt that I built up and it has the cobra style buckle. I know I can adjust that belt but I’m wondering if any of the ratcheting style adjustable belts are any good. |

I too have wondered how the ratcheting belts hold up for that same reason. I haven't done anything about it, though, as I have not been in that much of a hurry to this point. |

Got a recommendation? If you have a belt with a cobra buckle, try a dog collar or harness extender. If you're looking for a whole new belt, have you looked at KORE with the ratchet adjustment? |

The Flatline Fiber Co. dump pouch mounts behind your magazine pouch and takes no space on the belt, but is there if you need. Why not have one? |

Mine never did that, but I mounted the padded belt on a Blackhawk 2” pistol belt, so it took up the entire slot on the belt. Those pistol belts are less than $20 on the secondary market and I think I paid $12 for mine. They last forever, so you definitely get your money out of them. |

Attached File T-Rex Arms speed belt Esstac mag pouches T-Rex Dump Pouch T-Rex Ragnarok holster I've changed it a bit with my IFAK, it's about to get changed again with the Fiberline Co dump pouch. Also, because why not, I'm switching IFAK's to get smaller. I attached all of my pouches with one wrap so I have a lot of grip on the inner belt. So far so good. |

Attached File Didn't make any changes to the belt in 2024. Two new items in the new year - Coyote dump pouch and Arbor Arms 16oz bottle pouch. The dump pouch is fine. I mean, it's a dump pouch...Water pouch I'm on the fence over. It has zero give - 16oz bottle or no dice. Just a smidgen of elastic or shock cord would provide for so much flexibility. |

For me they're just right. Not to grippy I struggle to get the mag out, but I have confidence they'll stay put. Havent done cart wheels with loaded mags yet though ![]() The inside of the pouches are a semi-rubberized texture. What really sold me is their versatility. Rifle pouches hold AR, AK, AR308 and M1A mags. Pistol pouches hold double and single stack no prob. If youre taking something different to the range everytime then G-codes the way to go. Otherwise the cheaper dedicated mag type pouch will save you money. Tacos are versatile too, not sure if they are cheaper, but Ive read tacos dont have a fared insertion lip like the G-code. Meaning mags can catch and roll down the top lip of the taco. |
