Showed up two days ago. My initial impression? Way better than the HSGI. Smaller, lighter, etc. I dig the burros as well.

Gonna have to get out to the range to play with it and see if I set it up right.

I've been using burro pistol pouches as edc mag and multi tool carriers. They have been pretty well. The belt set and rifle burros will hopefully be my next purchase.

Glad to hear this. I've been eyeing this set up for a few months, but I didn't want to take a chance. It looks like primo kit.

It's a Blue Force Gear "Boo Boo Pouch"

My first attempt at a war belt. I chose the VTAC brokos because I wanted to ability to use duty gear in some sections. My thinking was to keep the holster and two primary reloads as identical as possible to my work belt, and reinforce muscle memory when taking a class etc. I'll eventually replace the inner duty belt with a 2" cobra belt, but this old uncle mikes belt was free so it works for now.

VTAC Brokos in OD (even though it's actually Ranger Green)
Uncle Mikes Duty Belt
Safariland 6390 on mid ride UBL with QLS system
Accumold double pistol mag
Esstac double pistol Kiwi in RG
ITW Fastmags in green
Tactical Tailor dump pouch in RG
Tactical Tailor small utility pouch in RG
Lastly I'm waiting on a Tactical Tailor Universal Mag pouch to go with an ATS medical insert I have. That way I can have an IFAK or more rifle mags depending on what I'm doing.

I scaled mine way back as it had more mag pouches and other kit that I did not use very often.  Now it has only what I "need" for SHTF and nothing I don't.

TT War Belt
3 TT 5.56 mag pouches
4 TT Universal pistol mag pouches
Blade-Tech drop leg holster (cant remember which model)
FNP45-Tactical pistol in 45ACP with Trijicon RMR optic.
TT lanyard
Maxpedition dump pouch
Med-Pac (contents gathered from my days working on an ambulance.  Can't remember who makes the pouch)

Why does everyone seem to have more pistol than rifle magazines?  Are most of you carrying rifle mags on a PC or chest rig?
Just curious, thanks.

I think the idea is they will be carrying 3+ rifle mags on their PC, so no need to go overboard on the belt.

Different strokes I suppose. I like the option of scalability.  My chest rigs and/or plate carriers can hold 3 or 4 mags depending on how I outfit them.
My belt can hold 1 or 2 pistol mags and 1 or 3 rifle mags. Just all depends on how I do it.

2 handguns & 2 rifle mags for me.
everything else on the PC.

my idea is that the belt is going to be the first thing I grab and must have at least a couple of each mags to react but still be lightweight.

That's exactly what I've been looking for.  Do you have any experience with their shooters belt?  I'm wondering how much softer the outer belt material is than the task force or senshi belts.

I have the shooter (no experience with their other belts), however I would absolutely say that the liner belt and molle platform combined are more solid than bianchi LE duty belt.

My only complaint is I can't find a liner belt in coyote brown.

Good looking belt rig.

Do you always have you pistols mags orientated that way, or did you just throw them in the pouch for the pics? I'm trying to figure out how you load your pistol with them that way.

I can reload well from either position, but I'm faster with bullets forward. Less flipping of the wrist

LAPG regularly has 2-packs on sale. IIRC, I got my Multicam & Black pair for $24ish.

Can y'all post pics of ride heights for the belts?  I cannot for the life of me seem to utilize my belt with any form of comfort.  Either it rides too high and when I squat/draw pistol or anything it rides up.

Or the bitch is near impossible to click together because I have to suck in so hard.

These are some old photos I originally took to show how the inch and a half Safariland mount rode but it also shows where the belt is riding and how I keep it there..

Sorry about the size of the top three. I can't seem to get photobucket to resize them.

Here is my set up. After lots of trial and error, couple carbine classes, I am finally at an iteration of this that is comfy and works great for me.

ATS warbelt, inner belt is a TT cobra, 3xRifle Tacos, Emdom suspenders, 2x pistol mag pouches, and a small utility pouch, TT canteen pouch with a canteen, maxpedition dump pouch, coyote tactical IFAK, safariland G17 holster.

There are a couple out there, this one is probably the closest to the one Ronin uses (DSG has one also):

The TYR Velcro is 1.5" wide vs the 1 7/8" wide (measured) Velcro of the Ronin. This should work as the Velcro on the outer belt of the Ronin is 1.5" (measured). The other option is to rattle can the inner belt, but I'm not sure how well that would hold up.

Left to Right:

Pyle Expo remote
Triple Pistol KYWI
RCS 5 Finger Subload Moduloader
HSGI Bleeder with Kydex TQ Holder
Single M4 KYWI
Maxpedition Roly Poly
Safariland ALS on a mid ride UBL for M&P 9mm with TLR-1
Kydex ear pro hanger
BFG double pistol tenspeed
Condor Duty belt

If this seems pistol heavy, it is. I use this for USPSA and do most of my shooting on private property so it pulls double duty. It looks pretty jammed up laying flat but when it's on me everything is spaced out and easily accessible. If I am shooting a match I'll throw an extra mag in the 10 speed, otherwise it's reserved for my Wave (if I can ever find it again) and a light, normally a Polytac. I plan on eventually replacing the condor with a Volund belt.

Just a friendly observation. Might want to swap positions of the rifle Kywi and HSGI Blow out kit. Might help your "flow" of reloading in the event you need that rifle mag in a hurry.
In a "must have" situation you'll be going for a rifle mag before a pistol mag and it will keep them in the same "muscle memory" area. Blow out kit is for "after the fight" in most cases.
Take it for what its worth.

The other train of thought is that it can be reached with both hands.  Move it too far down the left side and the right hand can't get it.  If you have one arm down its going to be difficult to get your belt on and off.

That's nearly the same position I carry mine in, once the belt is wrapped around you its just front of center, and the mag pouch sits center of your hip, directly across from your holster.

I still don't see how anyone can wear a belt without a velco liner.

I understand... Each person has a reason for how they set it up!  I'm not a fan of Velcro in general and wear ccw suspenders daily so for me it makes sense ... Also I prefer to "hang" my set up on my shoulders.... But to each their own

With a properly fitting and loaded belt (assuming a chest rig or plate carrier is used in conjunction with it to take at least rifle magazines), Velcro or suspenders are not necessary nor are they desirable. Running, going prone, sitting, kneeling, and wearing it all day- my HSGI belt stays put,

Also.... For me at least after a full day all the weight on just a belt starts to wear on me... The padded belt was the answer and adding suspenders made all the difference! BUT each persons requirements and needs are different! I'm not storming the beach at Normandy but I do like to have plenty of mags..
