Just got the can a few weeks ago and after shooting with it I noticed there was quite a bit of carbon build up on the threads of my hosts and the threaded portion of the can.
I took it apart and attached just the threaded portion to my M&P22 compact and M&P 22AR and neither of them seem to seal against the o-ring. The 22 compact came with a threaded adapter so that should be gtg and I purchased the Silencerco spacer for the 22AR. Is this really an issue (other than a little extra cleaning)? They should be shouldering up to the carbon from building on the threads correct? |

The length of your threads should be 0.400" for proper function. Didn't get a chance to measure before leaving home. Since the spacer is the one from Silencerco for the AR length threads and the adapter on the pistol is the included one from smith to fit 22 suppressors does it seem likely the can could be out of spec? I'll measure the threads when I get home. New to cans so I am just curios if this will cause extra wear in anyway. If not, I can live it. |
