Just picked up a Webley Mk 4, was wondering if you guys could help me ID the markings and figure out when it was made, thanks...

The War Finish marked .38/200 Webley Mk. IV pistols are all WWII-production.
The markings on the side reading "xx tons" are British commercial proof marks.

Beautiful, I want a Webley Mark IV or VI some day.
What did you pay if you don't mind me asking?

I paid $300.00 and it came with just over 100 rounds. Anyway of telling when or where it was issued and deployed during WW2?

Probably not. Lots of these were called into service as substitute standard to the Enfield No. 2s, and more still were purchased privately by officers.

As always, I appreciate the info. These old surplus guns kick ass.

Be cautious of the ammo you use in it. This damage was done by the infamous "gun show reloads". Not mine, but was brough to me to de-fuse.
