Curiosity has me wondering which factor consumers around here favor more.

Doesn't a GMT300 weigh like 13.x ounces and under 7"?
Yes please

Oh I'm quite aware of some really short and light cans out there. The options above simply help me get an idea as to which people value as a factor more.  Light weight, or length.

Is this official OSS sanctioned research?

haha! Not at all.  I work with a number of local companies but this isn't for anyone specific.

Got a friend who isn't sure if he wants to buy a Specwar, (7.30" and 19oz) over a shorter lighter can.  We got to talking and I told him I prefer lighter, over length.  He disagreed.  Seemed he'd prefer a really short heavy can over a long light can, even if they performed the same.

I guess its a situational factor for me

If I were involved in CQB situations or anything indoors/tight spaces (like vehicles) then the length would be my primary concern

Since most of my shooting would be outdoors on an open range or lane range, the length is not as significant as the weight

so unless i have considerable movement concerns (unlikely as a civilian), i would prefer the lighter weight

Speaking from experience, I would prefer the longer, lighter can....if those were my only two options.
Mathematical leverage makes a slightly heavier suppressor feel like a boat anchor once it's attached to the end of a muzzle.
Example-
I have a Surefire Socom 556MG that I hardly use just due to the weight if adds to the hot end of a rifle....when you have it in one hand, and a standard Socom 556 in the other, the weight difference is hardly noticeable; but it's a big difference when mounted.

Just my two cents....
