Well, I was down to chosing the optics for my new project, and I think I made the right call.  I had been waiting on the Trijicon Tri-power, and looking at the Leupold CQT, but neither seemed right.  I'm not a collector or a wannabe, I'm a SHOOTER.  So, since this gun was a tactical rifle, target acquisition and accuracy to medium distances would be the criteria for purchase.  I have the Aimpoint set-up on my 9mm Colt, but had forgotten how good it was.  I recently shot a tactical rifle match, and though I had to borrow a gun to compete, it was set up almost exactly like my project gun with the Aimpoint.  I was impressed all over again, and realized this was the perfect sight for my weapon.

I'm sure that the Tri-power will be a great sight(if it ever gets to market), and Leupold's reputation goes without saying, but when speed is the order of the day nothing beats a red-dot, and the Aimpoint is the best of the breed.

I would also like to thank SWFA for helping me with my purchase; great prices and service.  I had originally tried to purchase the sight from DS Arms, but they had raised their price $60 over what they had it listed for on their website.  They lost a customer and SWFA gained one.

By the way, my project reads as follows:
Cavarms lower receiver
Bushmaster A3 upper receiver with 14.5" heavy fluted barrel with permanently attached Mini-Y comp.
GG&G A2 BUIS
GG&G extended scout rail
Aimpoint Comp ML2 in Aimpoint Railgrabber mount

It should get the job done.
