Handgun:If you ccw a duplicate of your ccw gun. If you are ever in a shooting it will go to evidence. Having a spare is a good thing.
22lr conversion for the glock TC. SPlurge on a jdjones match 223 or 5.56 barrel and have a pistol as or more accurate than your AR's They are a lot of fun. Rifle. Hmmm, another option would be one of the SVD type rifles. Yes, some consider it an odd round but ammo is dirt cheap. No it is not as accurate as a bolt, m1a or ar10, but it was never meant to be. The soviet doctrine was more along the lines of our SDM program. An interesting rifle and a bit of history all in one. A ruger 1022T. I love mine and it has shot 10 round silver dollar size groups at 100 yards. The M1 Garand. A lever gun for shits and grins. 357 3030 or even oh man I want one A savage 88 in 243 or 308. Shotgun: A side by side. Fun guns and the fastest second shot of any shotgun. Fun, simple and reliable. if you favor the shotty for HD another mossy Other: A nice combination gun. Either a remington spartan in 3006/12 or A savage 24 in 22 over 20 gauge, Then start haunting gun shows looking for the old inserts to convert the 20 gauge to 357 or 3030 or several other calibers. A cold war teenagers dream survival rifle. OR get a springfield m6 and something else. Neat guns but I prefer the savage(yes I was young and sold it. One of the few guns I really really miss) |

No Garand? What kind of American are you!?!
good point, I've been wanting one but where can I get a good deal on one, CMP looks complicated I like simple. I've been thinking about an PTR91 Look on the EE, there's some good mixmasters for not much more than CMP prices. If your .mil, you can send a copy of your ID card in, and that qualifies as being in a CMP-affiliated club. (I think retired .mil works too.) |

Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: I'd say a good 308; FAL, AR10, good G3 clone (as in, not a PTR). HK roller locked gun. Maybe a HK93 or 53 clone, or the above G3. How 'bout a bullpup? If I get one it will be a PS90 SBR Nothing in odd calibers please ![]() i know, but I really really want one, plus i was looking for other people suggestions since that was my only odd caliber that I want |

good point, I've been wanting one but where can I get a good deal on one, CMP looks complicated I like simple. I've been thinking about an PTR91 CMP is the ONLY place to buy a Garand unless something in your background keeps you from qualifying. It ain't that hard. I have 8, all bought from CMP. I had a couple before I discovered the CMP and they were higher priced and the condition was worse. |
| like the 10/22 for small game/varmint, and levergun as a backup for everything else. I have a british enfield jungle carbine .303 for just this purpose-10 SP in the detach mag, and it chambers fast. Nothing I've ever hit with it up to 200 yds ever got back up, either. Great ranch rifle if you can find a good one that's not an indian repro. |
