So... I got a bushnell elite 4200 tactical (6-24 x 50mm) on the way, which has an overall objective diameter of 60.07mm (ocular is 40.64mm).

I have the vltor modstock, standard handguard and the ARMS #18 mount.

What kind of rings should I use?  Mostly, I want it to be secure and reliable.  QD would be a plus as would retaining the use of open sights, but neither are required.

Suggestions please?

I found that the QD's are usually a waste of time and money, you will probably just get frustrated when they dont allow you to hold a zero. I reccomend Leupolds MKIV rings, actually use bolts to tighten. Also another excellent choice is Badger Ordnance!

Ypu might also take a look a TPS rings. I bought a set of the mediums and I am very satisfied.
