It will go on a DSA SA-58 18" with the DSA Heavy Duty Scope Mount. The farthest I've shot was 500 yards with the irons. Past that I don't know how accurate it is. I have been told it should do 600, maybe 700, but that'd be it. I've been looking at the Leupold MR/T 2.5-8x36 with some type of quick release mount. Maybe a Larue. I'd appreciate any opinions on the scope choice, the mount and reticle. For what it's worth I do have long range shooting experience. Thanks. |

I've been using a 2-12x32 IOR on my DSA. No complaints other than that I have a very slight amount of 'fisheye' when in the extreme lower magnification settings. Once I hit 3x and up, it's all good. I wanted an optic that would allow for some useful magnification out to 700+ yds but still work for up close--the IOR has suited my needs beautifully. The fisheye hasn't caused me any problems either....just a minor annoyance at first. I don't even notice it now. |

I've rarely had the chance to go beyond 200 (Fd up political saga at an area range...) but I am very happy with my 4x Hensoldt, ARMS adaptor and weaver cover. The elevation dial is cammed for 100m intervals to keep it simple for a MBR, and the Stadia line reticle never blocks anything out. http://www.drzero.org/cetme/pdf/g3sm.pdf Manual for my older surp model. |
