Hello Everyone,

What is the recommended sling for a SCAR 16? Any specific adapters needed to attach?

Thanks,
Accountant

I like these two point slings that can be configured into a one point sling as well.  I like the mash clips but they will tear up your scar mounts.  I have seen guys use gytted p-cord as little condoms for the mash clip legs to avoid the mounts from getting dinged up.

I use a BFG VCAS with a Snap Shackle on the back through the built in loop and a QD Low Profile VTAC mount in front of the magwell. IWC Tri-Glide for Single Point.

I just bought a VTAC -  will be threading the rear and I bought a 1" hook for the front.

+2 for the VTAC

If you have your factory Scar sling that came with the gun you can simply remove one of the HK hooks along with the hook cover from it and put it on the new VTAC as I did. (for front, back just goes on stock...no mount needed)

So you wouldn't have to go out and purchase a hook for it or any other mount for your new VTAC sl

one thing with the VTAC, or many slings for that matter , if you store your gun with the sling on .. etc.., what I do is get a piece of cloth or even a plastic bag and wrap it around  the metal parts on the sling to protect my gun from being
scratched up

they can scratch up ur gun if your not careful

I run the same setup.  Works great and is as close as can be to my AR setup so I can use the same sling.

I have a Ares Armor Amentum sling, which is pretty nice.

Here is a video.

Problem is you need a seperate peice and a QD front mount to use it as a one point. They sell all pieces, but then you are looking at a sling that cost over a hundred dollars. I like it, but I have the income to burn. It may not be a good choice for all.

My SCAR 16S didn't come from the factory with a sling. Do you have pics of such a beast?

This right here, but I am using the Mash Hooks with elastic covers. I like them, but have thought about switching to the HK Hook.
