I have a Remington 1100 Tac-2 shotgun. I want to put a Surefire forend on it, but can't decide between the LED version or regular bulb version. Also, the bulb version has two variants, the on/off switch and disabling switch. The LED version is the on/off switch. What'd you recommend?
Thanks and Merry Christmas |
| I'd say go for the disable switch if you can afford it. It's hard to get a tight grip on the forend without activating the pressure switch. You can skip on the LED since you can always drop in a P60L or aftermarket LED bulb at any time. If you go with incandescent, make sure you take the light off before extensive shooting. |

If you use the short metal "blocker" Surefire includes that you glue to the pressure tape this is not a problem. I went with the LED w/o lock out switch. You know I completely forgot about that one (I bought mine used so I never got one). Although I'd imagine some people would want to retain the pressure switch feature. When you say "glue to the pressure tape", is that permanent / if removed will destroy the switch? |
