I am building my first SBR and would like some input on what weight  buffer to use.  It will be a 10.5" barrel most likely chambered in 6.8 but possibly .223(haven't decided yet).  I've heard some good things about the Spikes ST-T2 buffer, but I have no idea what I should use in a SBR.  So, what say you?

I've got a 9mm buffer in my 11.5" SBR, and it functions just fine.  I like that one, as I am able to switch between that upper and my 9mm upper without having to change buffers.

Do you run the 9mm buffer using .223 and a can?

Yes.  With (usually) and without (occasionally) a can.

Here's a video of my upper / can on a friend's full-auto lower.  The 9mm buffer is being used.
