Hi I have an ar-15 and I was looking in to getting something different, so what should I get  an ar 9mm or 22? Thanks for the Info

.22

You're welcome.

The .22's are so much fun.  You get one with a good barrel and they are deadly accurate too. Its nice to be able to shoot as much as you want and not worry to much about the ammo prices with the same ergonomics of the big guns.  I would recommend getting one such as a Spikes Tactical which can run the Black Dog Machine mags.

I went .22 since you can't beat the ammo prices.

10/22. There's really isn't much of a reason not to have one.

I'll keep it unanimous.

I vote .22LR.  It's a $200 swap; no new barrels, mag blocks, upper, etc.  Just mags & bolts.  You can get some screaming deals on CMMG stuff right now and some good deals on Spike's (i.e. 2 free mags) but if you wait until July, CMMG has a new generation kit coming out that will turn the .22LR world upside down - mag catch works, forward assist works, full auto factory made bolts, chamber adapter locks into barrel lugs, etc.

A nice Marlin bolt action .22lr is fun too.................

For myself, I would never buy another .22… I have a few, pistol & rifles and I never bother with them anymore.

Just no enjoyment unless it is a centerfire… I don’t need a bruise but I want to feel some recoil

Without a doubt, .22LR is the way to go and this is coming from someone who had a 9mm AR

Without a doubt, the .22.

My CMMG kit is so much fun, I can't believe I waited so long to get one. I no longer cry after a mag dump.

I just need about 10 more 25-round mags for it to keep it fed.

I see this thread is worthless without AR pics.  Since I voted .22LR, I'll throw a little pr0n into the mix:

That is simply too awesome for words.

I guess I'm going to be the one that rocks the boat, I love my nine, It also has the potential to be an affective home defense weapon, where as a .22 might kill someone I can't think of anyone on here that would trust there life to the small but fun little round.
