FN makes the Mk48 mod 1 and the "iron man" ammo system was developed by the Army a few years ago.  Prolly looking at USSOCOM folks in afghanistan there.

Skip to 12:30....been done a long, long time ago.  SEALs tried it in Vietnam but the chute got hung up on any and EVERYTHING.....
