The trigger unit doesn't seem able to go back in. Both the side supports seem to sit too low and won't allow the trigger pin to be refitted (pin looks like it might be a custom, also seems very tight). When I do get the trigger unit in (almost), it seems to cause the bolt a great deal of restriction in movement.

Looking inside, the action bar seems to be fitting properly with the side supports. I don't understand what is stopping the trigger unit from being fitted. The resistance on the trigger unit seems to be focused at the rear, although that's probably just leverage on whatever is wrong at the front.

Only broken part is a small piece of the plastic magazine throat.

It's a shame I can't seem to get it back together. Neat thing about this particular 1400 is the barrel is ported and suppressed.

Thanks for any advice.

PS: Saw the Youtube vids on reassembly and followed them exactly. It ain't working.

I just looked at mine and popped out the trigger assembly. The plastic piece in the front actually holds the front of the trigger assy in place. It is very common for these to break if you replace yours I bet your trigger will fit fine. My pin has 2 grooves that hold it in place one of the springs in the trigger assy falls into the groove to hold it in place (like an AR trigger pin) sometimes the sping on mine goes too far out in the hole and makes the pin a real bitch to install or get out

hope this helps

Thanks.

I actually got it back in. It was a nightmare, but the shotgun is working. Doubtless the same problem will be encountered when it next needs to be dissembled and cleaned. The plastic front is still able to retain the trigger unit, but it might be worn.
