Like most Fridays I stop off at the Waffle House for breakfast and then hit the pawn shops. On one of those Fridays the first shop I stopped at told me that they had a rifle stock that they wanted me to repair. The guy hands me a little Winchester that I have never had in my hands before. I have seen photos of one but never seen one in person.
I told the guy, why fix it, just sell it to me. As he started thinking about it I told him I would give his $75 for it. We started laughing and he said that I always low ball him on prices. He then said that I could have it for $100 out the door and I bought it. I did look it up and found out that they were built from 1958 to 1961 with just over 300000 being made.

| I'm still bitter I missed one for about $50 a couple of years ago. Violated the first rule of gun shows - if you want it, buy it now. It wasn't bought out from under me, but by the time I got my other transactions done the show was closing and the guy had packed up and left. |
