I have a Mod. 62 from the early 1930s someone says the 62A is the same exact rifle. Is this correct? I googled images but pics are not close up enough to tell.

Maybe you have a link?

Thanks

Basically the same rifle.  The model 62 bolt has three pins visible in the top, while the 62A only has a single pin visible.

Do you happen to know if the 62 came with a sight elevator?

Mine looks as though it never had one and has always shot fine, but the guy is telling me it's missing.

I also have a 1970s 9422 which has the elevator.
