I'm seeing stores are getting some of the XPRs now. Pricing seems to be right around $450. Anyone happen to pick one up yet?
I have a Ruger American that I'm satisfied with but there are things that aren't perfect. I was hoping the XPR would come in closer to the $300 I got the RAR for, but $450 may be in my ballpark if I like what I see. The 60 degree throw really is what got my attention. I like the 70 degree on the Ruger, but my hand is still bumping the scope a bit. At the same time, I feel like unlocking the Ruger takes more effort than I think it should, and wonder if an even shorter throw would be harder. I also find the Ruger's stock forend to be too narrow. So both issues relate to my big hands. Anyway, if anyone has gotten an XPR, or even just dinked with one at their LGS, I'd be happy to hear your opinions. Thanks! |
