Local SOT is closing up shop and said he might have a Wraith or Wraith XL 3-Lug for sale at a decent price. I haven't even had a chance to look up the specs but I figured I would ask if anyone had used them.

First host will be a mp5k semi clone and down the road will have a AR and possibly others.

No experience with the Wraith, EXCEPT, a friend of a friend has one for his MP5. The flash hider on those is stupid huge/heavy/ugly but he has the YHM mount version, not three lug. The can itself isn't as quiet as an MK9K which would be my recommendation for anything three lug.

As to the MP5K. I hope you have better luck with yours. I have a 100º locking piece in my fullsize and it's awesome! Perfect with 115gr-158gr suppressed or not. No blowback, sounds great. It's perfect.... My MP5K on the other hand... Never got it right. I think I could have messed around and gotten suppressed and unsupressed locking pieces, but didn't want that. It's pretty amazing how much a difference 3" of length makes in that gun! See if you can test it out first! You might need different locking pieces, will depend on your gun/chamber, ammo, suppressor. I sold my MP5-K before I figured it out.

Shot it a bit with a friends guts and it seemed to work fine. Would love to just send it out and have it finished by one of the good builders but it is so much damn money. Guess it's a bargain if it works like it's supposed to.

Thanks for the can input. I will look into it some more next week hopefully.

I run one on a DI 7.5" .45 and a 7.5" 9mm

Subs are quiet
Supers are pretty good too
It's very light
The mount is short and quick to use

It's a great subgun can
I abuse the hell out of it with cast bullets as well

Sounds the same after all these years

My buddy uses one on an Uzi.   It's big, but the should tell you that,  but it performs very well and has a really good low tone.  I don't know what other cans you have but if you have your pistol bases covered the XL makes a good subgun can.

I'm not sure I'd feel comfortable buying a suppressor from a shop that's closing...or is he planning a year in advance?

We are getting stamps back in 120 days right now if that matters

He is and has been in the process for a while now. I have no doubts on him other ban a health issue which is why he is closing.

Ususally they fast track pending forms from closing dealers.  There is a chance that he might get it and have the stamp by the end of July...

Can it be taken apart? I assume the mount you are talking about is their QD and I am looking at the 3 lug.

No other pistol cans. Been looking at a octane forever but I think I will end up with several anyway.

I've got a mk9k along with a few dedicated pistol cans (multimount,  cobra, osprey) a lot of people say otherwise but I feel a dedicated subgun/carbine suppressor is the way to go. With the mk9k I don't have to change the locking piece on my mp5k, with the others I do. The deep tone and lack of blowback is just a added bonus.  I hear a lot of complaints on 9mm ar15s having bad blowback and port noise. I wonder how many aren't using a dedicated subgun can?

In action.

3 lug on 5" TROS.

QD on a 10.5" RRA upper (go to 1:05 and 3:05). My buddy is a lefty and just couldn't get comfortable with the right handed Slide Fire stock.

I was reloading the magazines we'd fired in the videos and realized that we were shooting 115 supers. I'd left the mags with the 147 subs at the house. I imagine things would be a lot quieter with the subs.

Everyone seemed positive so I pulled the trigger. 400$ including sales tax so I couldn't pass it up. It supposedly had a small finish blem but full warranty. I am pretty excited.

Going to send off my form 1 for my TC Encore and I am thinking a 6-10" 357 mag barrel with a 3 lug will be pretty fun when it's not on my MP5K clone

My dad has one on a MP5k/PDW clone. the three lug adapter is VERY quick to welds itself to the rifle if not taken off and cleaned after every session. It sounds great with supers and subs though. depending on how good the price was I would buy one. But unless it was a good chunk cheaper than say a Tirant or Tundra I might would hold off.

If you look at the post right above yours I stated the price. Thanks for the heads up on cleaning the adapter
