Just got a new x95 and playing with it at home it sometimes does not lock open on an empty mag from hand cycling. Does with with gen 2 and 3 pmags and d&h mags. Is there a problem with the gun? Would a good cleaning fix this or breaking it in? I have not shot it yet and was wondering if this is normal or not

Known good mags that aren't worn out? Stuck or broken bolt catch? Bad mag catch?

My AUG Nato doesn't lock back with gen 2 PMAGS, so I don't use those. But the stock is very new and needed fitting, so could be a break in issue.

The gen three I am using is the pmag it came with. So it's new. Plus I just gave it a good cleaning and got a lot of orange crap out of it but it's still doing it.

If it were me I would give it 500 rounds of so, then get ahold of IWI if it's still doing it.

Some of the preservative crap these companies put on guns is just nasty. I could barely move my ACR's stock when I first got it, so a good deep clean is a great idea.

Can you look into the action and really see what is going on? If the mags are riding low that should be noticeable looking in the ejection port. I would assume the same for the bolt catch. If you lock it back with no mag then insert an empty mag, does everything touch or line up right?
