Here's some pics of my Micro.  I had a custom long flash hider made to bring the barrel to 16.1 inches and had it silver soldered on.

It didn't change the weight or balance enough to tell but it is a lot less blasty, even though it is closer to my face now.

The slots in the hider are 3 inches long.  I need to see what it is like at night.

It should be about as short and light as you can get without going NFA.  I'd like to see a 16 inch super light barrel for this configuration so as not to suffer a velocity decrease.

Okay.....why not spend 200 bucks?

It started out as a pistol.

Probably will spend the 200 down the road once my C&R comes back.  I've got a couple other guns I want to SBR and only so much money.  This way I can enjoy the gun as a rifle until all of the necessary paperwork comes in to SBR it.

The bulging suppressor would bother me to no end. Maybe I'm too picky.

I'll kick in $10 towards the tax stamp so we can see that eye-sore go away.

Looks pretty badass when you put your finger over the extra 8 inches of barrel.

SBR that bitch.

This picture posted on XCRcarbine.com impressed me. I like this setup a lot

PDW upper with 14.5" barrel. I might have to get something like this once I get some spare cash  and they become available in 2010

Wow that thing is both ugly and pointless. But if you just SBR the thing it will fix all your problems. m4whore

I think it looks cool but get an SBR for that thing so you can lose the ultra long flash hider.

I agree, I think that thing will look awesome once you SBR it and lose some length.

I noticed the bulge in the pics and thought it was an illusion so I inspected the flash hider,  The flat between the top tow ports is pushing upward.  I guess that means it is directing gas upwards as it seemed like the barrel stayed pretty flat.  I was suprised to see the bulge.  I never would have figured that the guess would have had that affect.

I want to put a bipod on it and bag it to see if it is affecting group size when we get some better weather.

Not enough metal to resist the pressure. I would be really careful as it will likely buckle or blow out the top rib at some point.

That one looks just about perfect to me.  I would go with a phantom or vortex on a mini with a 14.5" perma pinned and a 13" LOP stock.  Assuming of course I had the cashola for something like that.

Not much micro about it now.

Length wise, not so micro.  Weight or lack of, very much so.  I can one hand this one so much easier.

Found some 55 grain ammo it liked as it absolutely would not group close enough to call it a group with wolf 55 grain.  Thankfully it does just fine with 62 grain wolf for some cheap practice ammo but I didn't have any on my last range day and was about to freak out with the inaccuracy until I tried some other 55 grain.

I have no problem with wolf 55 grain in my other 2 XCR's but this one does not shoot it well (functions perfect though).  I am guessing it is the difference in 1/7 twist versus 1/9.

Not quite sure what the point of this post is... your telling someone to buy an ACR(which has no release date) in a thread dedicated to an XCR??

Doesn't make much sense.

I think a fake/suppressor barrel shroud would have been to way to go.
But as long as you like it. Enjoy
And yes I have and really like my XCR!!

Thought about a fake suppressor/barrel shroud and they are too heavy or expensive.  The extension is actually made from the center tube of an inexpensive fake suppressor as it was way too heavy to leave as it was.

That'll look sweet , once you've axed that extension and SBR'd her.
