| Has anyone here used the bullets from X-treme and if so how were they? They had some good prices lately so I ordered some for 40 caliber and 45 caliber. Just looking for a good plinking/practice bullet. |
| I've personally shot nearly 2k of their 200gr RN .45 bullets. I have another 1k in the mail as we speak, along with 1k of their 9mm bullets. In all my experience with them I found a single bullet which looked like the plating had undergone shrinkage and had cracks all over it. I contacted them and they promptly sent me a return label for the entire box of 500. They will be getting a lot more of my business in the future. |

I have used their copper-plated:
.38 158-gr SWC .44 240-gr FP .45 230-gr RN .308 150-gr FP All work great. Some folks have experienced plating separation when pushing the .308 150-gr FP at 1900+ fps. Thus far I've been up to about 1650 fps and had no issues, others report that 1700 fps is certainly safe. Also, with the .308 150-gr FP your rifle may or may not like feeding them. I've generally had good luck with the feeding - only had one get battered back into the casing so far. |

Used over 10,000 of their 180gr .40S&W bullets with no problems. GTG. I get some setback issues with their 55gr .223's though. Is it possible you're not getting enough neck tension? I like their 9mm 124gr RN - was more accurate for me compared to their HPs..and cheaper. So far, their 55gr FMJ-BTs are OK as hoser rounds <= 100yds, but not as accurate for me vs Hornady 55grs...still trying some different loads with them, though. |

Just received another 2k, like dryflash - my favorite plated bullets (9mm, .40s&w).
EDIT (Shipping: the cheapest and sometimes free shipping from them is UPS GROUND and it will take a while. This is not on them, it is on UPS - you choose your delivery method. You can choose faster shipping.) |

They have been my fav plated bullet in 9mm, 45, and 357 for over a year.
I have shot over 2500 124 9mm, over 2000 200 RN 45, and over 1000 158 FP in the past year. I have had no issue and they have been plenty accurate (IDPA and USPSA) in everything I ran them through. They have been very accurate in 45. Needless to say I bought my supply for 2015 last weekend. |

I get some setback issues with their 55gr .223's though. Is it possible you're not getting enough neck tension? I crimp with a LEE factory crimp die. Figured that'd be good enough. But then every once in a while I'll get a bullet jammed back in the case. And, of course, it always happens at a big 3-Gun match... |

I use X-Treme plated bullets rifle loads in 30 Carbine @1,900fps, 158grn 357mag @ 1,977fps, and 150grn FP .308 for 30-30 @ 2,000fps and 300 Savage @ 2,100fps for plinking at up to 300 yds as well as pistol loads in 357mag, 40s&w, 45acp, 45 Colt, 10mm, and 45 Super with great results. They work just fine as long as they aren't over crimped to avoid both cutting the plating and/or loosening the bullets in the cases. They've become my favorite plated bullets. In fact, I recently sent a message to X-Treme requesting that they consider making some Spire point .308 in 150, 165/168grn for use in magazine feed .308 and 30-06 rifles as plinking / varmint bullets. They responded yesterday that they are looking into it. |
