Finally was able to pick up the YHM quick detach setup. Very nice for the $$ The AR now sounds like a 22. Just ordered the PRI gasbuster though. there is a little blowback. |
do you feel like the QD is solid? How quick can you take it off and on? Had a chance to shoot the rifle with just the QD? How was the flash? Sorry so many questions, I'm waiting on my papers for my YHM with the QD and the wait is killing me |

I like mine. It is built like a tank. Here is a video with the QD flash hider then with the can attached. YHM SS Phantom |
Without a doubt you will not be disappointed. I have a couple QD's and they are all rock solid. I strongly support YHM and recommend them to all my customers without hesitation. -TS |
I've been using my YHM Stainless QD since March and have been extremely impressed. I've got about 1000 rounds of all types of ammo down the can and it's quieter now than it was when it was new. I cleaned it after 500 rds. The QD mount is solid and I can remove or attach the can in maybe 5 seconds. It ran side by side with a Gemtech (sorry I don't know which model) during a training course and never had any issues. The owner of the Gemtech believed my YHM was quieter and it cost about half what he paid. I would recommend this can to anybody looking for a 5.56mm supressor. It's the best $475 I ever spent. It only weighs 20 oz., makes both my rifles sound like a .22LR, eliminates muzzle blast, and is just really cool. It's even comfortable to shoot without hearing protection. It doesn't hurt my ears at all. There is a lot of blowback so you'll probably want to invest in a Gas Buster charging handle. As you can see, I love my YHM can. |
