So, does anybody know who has some caps in stock at this particular moment? I had about 700 caps for my Old Army and my friend recently purchased an Uberti 1860 revolver after he had been 30+ years without a percussion revolver. I let him have my caps except for maybe 80 that I have remaining in a tin. I would like to get some more for myself.
Edited to add that I live near Houston and no Cabella's near by. I edited again to add that I found some online at Cabella's and placed an order. Thank you. They were out last time that I had looked. Thank you, |

Hey man, I built a traditions percussion pistol and ive got everything except the #10 caps. I tried all my local gun shops, online, and two bass pro shops. Its like there not made anymore.
I would try looking at bass pro or cabelas for the best luck. Hope that helps

Remember the TapOCap? I found some info on them and the how to make page.
here is a link and I made one myself to have, and it works with some effort.
beer can aluminum works but will crack, I got some caps at wallmart in the toy section, I got the paper type and red ring type, tried the aluminum coke cans and they were OK and had some sheet copper, the copper works better, so I got some more .003" at hobby lobby and this works very well, loaded up some of the aluminum and copper cups from the red rings and paper tape caps and they all worked. hobby lobby $12 40-Gauge Thin Copper Roll sku# 425272 |

Just a heads up, I was cleaning out the "possibles" box last night and found an unopened tin of both number 10 and number 11 caps. I took one of each out and compared them side by side. Only difference I could see was that one was very slightly taller than the other. They both fit well (and snug) on a number 11 nipple on my Kentucky pistol and fired just fine. |
