I am interested in a electric case trimmer that can chamfer and deburr inside and outside of case necks. I've have look into MATCH PREP and Giraud Tool Company  trimmers. Want to hear from someone that have used these or now of something similar.

The Match Prep is the Gracey trimmer.

You'll find there's a 10 to 1 ratio of those who like the Giraud trimmer over the Gracey, myself included

+1 After using my brand new Giraud Power Trimmer this weekend for the first time to trim about 350-400 223Rem Cases I have to say I'm sure glad I went with the Giraud instead or the Gracey.  The Giraud trimmer has enough power for Any case, while the Gracey has half the horsepower.  The Giraud is $389 versus $250 for the Gracey but the extra money spent is well worth it.

+1000 On the Giraud, they work great.  The only thing I would caution anyone who uses one about is watch your fingers after the brass is trimmed and chamfered those edges are sharp.

I seen a video of the Giraud in use. Any problems holding on to the brass while being trimmed?

You may get cramps if you do it long enough, same with any trimmer though.  Some people wear latex gloves for a better grip.  The blades spin at a fast RPM so there's no chatter when initiailizing the cut, it's real smooth.

Follow the technique of pressing down until you hear it not cutting anymore, then do a 1/2 twist.  This ensures you have an uniform cut on the case inside and out

There are so many good reviews on the Giraud trimmer. I think this is the one I'll go with. Thanks for all the great replies.

I have both trimmers and both work very very well. The Gracey requires a cutter uprade, which I have done, that allows me to make that statement. They are equal in the job they do and how well

they do it. The upgrade is a carbide cutter head from Bob Jones Sight Systems. Way easier to adjust than the original and just as good a cut as the Giraud. I have my Gracey dedicated to .223 which

is what I shoot the most. The Giruad is or I should say was easier to adjust than the original Gracey, the new cutter makes it a wash.
