[ARCHIVED THREAD] - +2 extension... Quick question about shells.

Since I've had it installed, I've always just assumed it would only hold six 2 3/4" shells, not six 3".

I'm starting to wonder if I didn't remove enough of the detents....

Can it really hold six 3" or am I correct in thinking the listed capacity is meant for the 2 3/4" shells?

That would be 6 - 2 3/4" shells. But it depends on what shotgun your talking about, most hold 5 in standard form IIRC. With a +2 that should be 7.

Remington 870 HD.

Good, that's what I thought.
Six 2 3/4" shells in the mag and one in the tube = Seven.

I was almost hoping I was wrong though.
