Well one are .356 bullets good for 9mm?

Two who has the cheapest bullets in 124 or 147 grain in plated for reloading?

Now that I have alot of Pistol Powder to start reloading for my wife's 38 I figure out that I might as well practice wiith a weight of ammo that is at or close to my Carry Load.

Did you type in the right numbers?

9mm uses .355 bullets.

38 Special uses .357 dia jacketed bullets, .358 lead bullets.

Generally for a lead bullet.....

9mm  = .356"
.38Special/.357 mag.  =  .358"

For jacketed stuff go .001" less.

Course, it's best to measure your barrel and buy bullets to suit.  But, that's usually more for the "special" crowd.

Technically – at least for jacketed bullets - I believe 9MM bullets are .355, while .38 Super bullets are .356.

That said, I been using Hornady Action Pistol .356’s in my 9MM with no issues.

And I’d certainly think softer .356 plated bullets would be no issue at all.

Dang this can get Confussing.

I was thinking plated bullets or HAP bullets.

I have Remmington 9mm JHPs I got for 8.50 at a store around here.  Funny thing is the ones in front were 15.00 a bag.

For plated bullets do you suggest using lead or jacket bullet loads?

Precision moly coated bullets are .356"

Hornady jacketed are .355

Treat plated bullets as lead bullets.  If they were jacketed they'd be called jacketed bullets.

Also remember that just because it says .355" does not mean the bullet mikes .355"

I have just been reloading rifle so that is why I have been asking a ton of questions on pistol.

Thanks.

.356 Jacketed bullets work fine in all of my 9mm's and the HAP .356 bullets are some of the most accurate I have ever used.  I size my cast bullets to .356 now, I used to size them to .355, but after extensive tests in my pistols and my 9mm AR I found that .356 was much more accurate. YMMV.
