Really wanting to get a SIG MPX when they come out and just want to get the pistol version & screw a suppressor on as it seems it will be a shorter overall setup.  Plus I can use 1 can on my pistol as well too, so it will be a very versital way to go for me.

But would their integral suppressor work better than a scew on?

It's going to do 9, .40 & .357

Will a .45 can do .357?  I do t think I've seen any suppressors list the .357 in their descriptions?

I think a bird cage compatible QD mount would be best since that's what the MPX has on the end of their barrels so swapping between 3 a QD will really come in handy. But then that puts me in a perdicent with my pistol as I prefer a screw on for it, but would consider a 3 lug adapter maybe?   But is there a 3 lug/bird cage combo compatible suppressor that can do all these calibers?

Unless you reload, suppressing off-the-shelf .357Sig is counterproductive since most if not all will be way over supersonic speeds at any pistol barrel length, let alone a carbine.

I'm in the same boat: i really want an MPX, mostly for the .40 and 9mm. If Liberty made a .40 Mystic, that would be my choice. Otherwise it looks like it will be an Octane when the MPX finally becomes available.

The muzzle break/internally suppresed version is dead in it's current form.

What pistol are you going to also use this on?

Hmm, good info thanks.  I'd love to reload at some point in the future, but that's far down the rabbit hole right now, especially for focusing on .357.

But a .45 can would be the way to go I assume though?  It's between an Octane 45 or Ti-Rant 45(s) for me.

One of my main focuses is the MPX when it's released, but I also have an HK P30.

If you are going to suppress go with either 9 or .40 for readily available subsonic ammo.

Check with the can manufacturer on caliber ratings but I think .357 Sig would probably be fine.

Two important thoughts.

Firstly, don't bother trying to suppress a .357. If you want to have that kind of velocity, use it unsuppressed and suppress the other two. Perhaps even look to get a longer barrel, if they will make one, for more velocity.

Secondly, to use it on a recoil operated pistol you will need a Nielsen device to increase recoil. This is incompatible with the Sig, and you'll be using 2-3 thread patterns going like this. If you want to use a thread on and a collection of pistons, get a Vortex to cover the threads as it doesn't need a washer and can be put on hand tight. You'll have to have one rethreaded for .40. Look here: 9mm Vortex flash suppressor.

OP, lots of good advice here.  I've trusted my life with the 357sig round for over 12 years and I can tell you right now I have no plans to purchase a threaded barrel for my G31.  Heck I purchased a $850 P220 Scorpion for my Octane in jail.

From a 4" handgun I'd have no interest in .357 at all. From a 6.5" submachinegun, I have more interest.

I've got a .357 Sig barrel for the Uzi.  I can use it with any of the 9mm or .45 subgun cans that I have.  But I'd run it supersonic.  Otherwise, as noted I'd be better off just shooting 147 gr. 9mm.

.357 in a sub would be awesome!   Suppressing....yeah, not so much
