That brass that Grampa picked up at Perry is starting to get a lot of splits... I don't know how much longer I can afford to shoot old slab sides if I'm going to have to replace the brass every 60 years.

Lol. I lose my .45 brass faster than I can wear it out.  I have some cases that the headstamp is almost flat from being fired so many times.

HA!  Nice one.

Yeah, I have some .45ACP cases on their 20th loading, no signs of splits or anything...............methinks it's time ta stop trackin' 'em like that...........................may be unecessary.......

Can you weld the crack and then turn/inside ream? They might be worth salvaging!

I got s few brass with RA 42 headstamp that flat out never seem to want to die.  I have some TZZ 87 Match that I have been loading since the late 80's probably lost about 40 percent to being lost not split....I got brass that you can not read the headstamp......

Damn! I don't mind battering the headstamps off, but I try not to do it on the first load!
