What is invloved in making a .45ACP upper for an AR? Any suggestions for a starting point to obtain one?

From my limited exposure to them you would need a mag block to adapt your .223 magwell to accept .45 magazines. As well as a barrel and bolt chambered for .45. I belive that some bolts require that you use a different hammer in your lower reciever.

And what kind of magazines would this beastie use ? Do you have to find Thompson stick mags ?
