I've got my new toy put together, I like odd stuff, and I'm only missing one thing. The powder that I want.

Haven't yet found Longshot, or Alliant #7.

I have 185 and 200gr XTP"s, and 230gr. JHP's.

My powder choices as of now are, Powerpistol, Blue Dot, H110, Alliant 300MP, Win 231, Bullseye, CFE Pistol.

Any advise?

Keep a close eye on the tacked "where to find" thread at the top of the page to find powder.

No experience with this cartridge, so no help there.

For what ever reason, Any data on 460row is sparse.

If it was me I would load for standard 45 and go up. May have to cycle the slid with the lower power stuff if you have a stronger spring.. A chronograph would be a must.

How does a 200gr XTP at 1400fps, five shots into 1 7/8" at 25yds sound?

Power Pistol at a charge that I can IM anyone interested. I would consider it about the max for this particular pistol.

And it takes serious man hands to install a 24lb recoil spring in a two piece full length guide rod.
