I was going to get me a buffer but got to looking at mine closely and the cocking handle arm does not come into contact with the tube so would I benifit from the buffer isnt it just to stop the handle from hitting the tube and causing issues.

If you treat this gun like a real H&K and give the charging handle a real HK slap down to close the bolt, you will probably run into a few problems down the road.
I have a buffer but didn't get around to installing it yet.  I have had 0 problems with mine and I have the very first production run of the weapon.  I don't really ride the charging handle forward but I don't let it fly either.
I would say use it as is and keep an eye on it.  There are thousands of these out there with no buffers and they are just fine.

No, none of them come with a buffer. you have to get them aftermarket somewhere

Ok, got the buffer and have most of disassembly done but how do I slide the front off to get to the tube?  Is there a screw or something holding it that I am not seeing?

1. Remove the handguard
2. Remove the top screw from the bank of three (exposed after you remove the handguard)
3. Loosen the other two screws from that same bank of three

Then the whole front assembly should slide right off; I don't think the bolt carrier assy. has to be removed.  Once the front assy. is off, you'll need to slide the cocking tube to the rear and then remove the single screw that attaches the cocking handle to the tube.  Once that handle is removed, the cocking tube will slide out the back.

i tend to slap that bitch

my sentiments exactly

even though I have a delrin buffer, I cut a piece of 1/2" vacuum line about 1/4" thick and put it inside the tube. worked great before the delrin buffer and still helps out. the slap is so quiet now you know nothing is going to break.

i did that exact same thing...got the idea from you hahah

but i was thinking....instead of even installing the buffer, you could just use a piece of the vacuum line instead.i`m alil late to try it myself, cuz theirs no way i could get that piece out now.and if it didnt work out well, you could just remove it and then cut it down and add the buffer

I'm going to try an O ring. My handle doesn't touch the end of the slot either.

Yup, he's a stand-up guy.  Good to do business with.
