When i add to the trust, on the assignment of property page, do i leave the original date i startred the trust, or change it to the current date, since i am adding? C |
Trusts are officially identified by both the name and the date the trust was created. So if you create "The John Doe Trust" on April 1st and some other guy named John Doe creates a trust on April 15th, they are differentiated by referring to "The John Doe Trust of April 1st 2008" and his trust will be "The John Doe Trust of April 15th 2008" If you dissolve your trust and later create a new one, the new trust will be "The John Doe Trust of xxxx" to identify it as different than the John Doe Trust of April 1st 2008". The date part is only used when more than one trust exists with the same name in the same context. |
