Can someone please point me to the thread were I can find out what type of protection that you get from the different levels?
And  the different type of materials that you have to choose from for the plates?
I know there has to be several post about it but I can not figure what to type in the search...I keep getting errors...

Thanks
Steve

This website gives great information but I disagree with the fact that they recomend a level II for police officers. My uniform does not go on without my level IIIA body armor on and I don't know of any officers that don't agree with me.

My department only issues level 2 armor. If you want a higher level of protection must pay for it out of your own pocket. I agree that you should spend the extra and get the level IIIa, however most cops are not very knowledgeable in this area and are also too cheap. I always upgrade to level IIIa and I also get a better trauma plate as well. Be safe.
