Very nice, I've been wanting to do something similar but I have to stock up on other things first.

i hear ya, it was hard for me to squeeze this project in with all of the ammo/mag buying i've been doing, main reason i wanted to build it was to make it fun to shoot so i'd spend more time behind it and not my AR's, this gun is gonna preserve my 5.56 stockpile

Looks good. Was the hogue stock any longer than the factory stock? I was going to skip the bull barrel but they don't cost that much. I may get one after all.

hmm not sure if it's longer or not, the bull barrel added some nice heft to the rifle tho, it weights in just under 8lbs now, feels awesome on the bench

Any special tools needed for the barrel swap?

Hex key.  Maybe some emory cloth if the part of the barrel that fits in the receiver is tight.  You probably won't need any.

how about posting a few of your shot groups? kind of curious if it can really shoot groups that small on a regular basis.

Mine is about 1/2 inch longer. But the feel is 100% better.
