I am unable to get my bolt open device to work on the last round.  It will not even work manually, so it has nothing to do with gas settings.  It almost seems like the spring inside of the bolt hold open device is too stiff for the magazine to push it upward.   I have tried 4 different, brand new magazines from DSA to eliminate the possibility of it being an mag issue.  I also removed the pin that holds the bolt hold open device in place and put a magazine in and the it moves up and down smoothly.  Any ideas?

Are you sure the hold open stud hasn't been ground off? I've seen a bunch of them like that for whatever reason.

That was my first thought..that is fine..That magazine makes full contact with the stud.

Most used FAL BHO's are shot. Just buy a new metric wide body BHO from DSA. It may be a little tight at first, especially in an Imbel receiver, but most likely the BHO you have has a worn pin on it that isn't dragging the mag follower up correctly, I have seen it a million times. When you put the new one in, slide a punch through the receiver from the opposite end of the BHO/Mag release hole and gently guide the new BHO in. This will cure your problems and you will be good to go in no time. An easy $25 repair. If this is a DSA built rifle, send it in and they will fix it

Had to replace severl BHO's on builds because the old ones were worn out.  The only other thing I can think if is put some dykum on the BHO and see if it is catching or rubbing somewhere in the channel?

It's actually a new BHO from DSA.  I am going to send it back on Monday.  Thanks for the advice.
