| I was told that cerakote has a fine texture to it. Where gunkote or durakote are silky smooth. Any truth to this? |

Cerakote's metallic finishes such as Tungsten and Burnt Bronze have a fine texture to it. But when you lightly rub #0000 steel wool over it, it's silky smooth.
At least that has been my experience. Other Cerakote colors I have applied are a lot smoother than Duracoat |
| If you spray metallics matte they will have a texture. The more hardner, the smoother at least that has been my experience with cerakote. 90% of everything i spray is a metallic color and always spray them stain to gloss and they feel just as smooth as solid cerakote colors. |
