| i have a brake and FH to put on my barrels, should i clean the threads or are the GTG? the rockset should keep them there, if i need to clean it, what should i use. one barrel is CHF and the other is SS. |

Clean the threads. The mounts often have oil and gunk on them from the factory on mounts, and you need them clean. Wire brush with acetone or denatured alcohol should do the trick. acetone? like finger nail polish remover? Yep. You just want to make sure the threads are clean, degreased, and void of little chunks of metal that could screw up your threads or something. |
