With the tax refund coming soon, the thought of buying something is stuck in my head.  I feel like I have enough guns so I was thinking about a SBR or suppressor.  I went to my local gunshop here in Reno, NV to inquire about the process of purchasing a NFA item.

It was all going good until the owner told me he charges $150 for the transfer.  Seems kind of steep to me.  What is the going rate?

My dealer here charges $100 for things coming in.  If he has it in stock or can order it there is no fee.

Use a Form 1 to build an SBR and there is no fee to a dealer.

Fine a dealer that will order or has in stock the can that you want.

My dealer charges MSRP for what he has in stock or for products from companies that he has a stocking dealer relationship with, +$75 for products he doesn't.  He also did all the paperwork for me except my signature and copies of my trust.

My dealer charges $100 for a dealer to dealer transfer.
They assist in completing the Form 4 and then mail it in for you.
They helped me acquire accessories that should have been with my suppressor but weren't. They didn't have to but they did.
They are worth the $100 fee.
They are a AAC stocking dealer and sell pretty much MSRP.
My next suppressor with be an AAC Evo-9 purchased from them.
