I own the 9 and 18 shot beehives. They function well. I bought mine at dealer cost,  i am not sure if I would have bought both at full price. They do put some strain on the Havoc locking mechanism.

MadDog here (have been away for a while). Before I purchased my Beehive round I talked with the maker (Shivak) and others about what was the best. The nine 22lr models are the only ones with steel, rifled sleeves in them and the higher capacity have basic non-rifled, non-steel barrels. To put it another way, the 18 rounders have holes drilled in the aluminum body. Those higher capacity models are not as nearly accurate and get sloppy with a lot of use. The nine round rifled models hold up much better but do cost about $100 more.

I am completely satisfied with mine and with over 1,000 rounds (through each chamber/barrel) fired through it, is as solid as day one. I am completely satisfied and feel it was worth the extra expense.
