PPS-50. Here is an example of one that is hardchromed. They are open-bolt .22LR rifles. I do not recall the manufacturer, but it wouldn't be that hard to figure out.

Osprey,

How do you like yours?

Anybody stock parts and/or mags?

Does anyone make those type of drum mags for the 10/22? I hate those teardrop ones, but those look cool.

I saw a lexan drum in a 10-22 at a local BS show a few month back and that's what rekindled my interest in a drum fed 22.  I have no idea who made it but it looked very cool...

The PPS-50 is a fun gun with the drum attached, mine has a problem with slam-firing and then getting a FTE/FTF every so many rounds.  I have a spare complete trigger group and housing so I'm thinking about swapping it out when I get the time.  There was an article on the PPS-50 in SAR last year (two issues) that described the problems these can have and how to repair them.  At a later date I wouldn't mind getting a 2nd PPS-50 in a little nicer condition than what mine is in.

Mine also came with the 30 round stick mags as well as two 10 round stick mags, I've never seen the 10 rounders before.

Drums are going to be a tall order...... I checked out their page & all they have are stick mags & a few rifles left. Oh well.

Tell me more about this lexan 10/22 drum.  How many rounds did it hold?

It wasn't one of those "teardrop" drums, was it?

Do they still make those?  I can't find "Eaton Supply" via Google (except for some side mentions).

I wish there were 100 round 10/22 mags (that worked).

C-Beta, maybe?

I really didnt pay that much attention to the drum (my 3 year old was with me and the guyd wanted $450 for the drum and a POS 10-22), but that looks close.

FWIW I have an old 25rd Eaton 10/22 mag & it works well. Don't know about their drum. I know they weren't too common & fetched big bucks during the ban.

AMT/Sanford/Eaton drums are expensive and not reliable. The MWG/Muzzlelite drums are also not reliable, however, people have made modifications that have gotten them to work with limited success. M60 Joe (Joe Black) has been designing 10/22's to work with AM180 drums, however I do not know where he is with that. In regards to the design of the PPS50, one of the largest complaints I have heard about them is they start shooting full-auto. Considering this is a semi-automatic firearm, you might want to be careful.

The Eaton costs around $300 (they're no longer manufactured) and doesn't work.

...on the other hand, it looks cool!

I'd skip all 10/22 drums and go with steel lips 30's.  They load quicker and are more reliable.
